Welcome to the website of Private Music College under the auspices of ISME in Mikołów.

 

Private Music College was founded under the auspices of ISME in 1993 as one of the first schools of this type in Upper Silesia. The school has developed rapidly since its beginnings. In 1993 we had seven pupils, whereas 10 years later the number increased to eighty. The first classes were given in an ordinary room. Nowadays we have three professional and accoustically adapted rooms at our disposal.

The syllabus is based on ISME’s teaching recommendations (ISME is the most important organisations as far as music pedagogy is concerned). We take into account a great variety of musical styles and traditions in our education. The pupils can choose the types of music (popular, classical and jazz) which reflect their personalities and are in accordance with their talent and preferations.

 

In our school we learn:

·         the keyboard

·         the guitar

·         the electric guitar

·         the accordion

We want to cooperate with similar schools and organisations from all Europe.
